NN, Inc. (NNBR) swung to a net profit for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2017. The company has made a net profit of $7.41 million, or $ 0.27 a share in the quarter, against a net loss of $1.30 million, or $0.05 a share in the last year period. On the other hand, adjusted net income for the quarter stood at $12.87 million, or $0.47 a share compared with $7.13 million or $0.27 a share, a year ago.

Revenue during the quarter grew 6.64 percent to $226.31 million from $212.23 million in the previous year period. Gross margin for the quarter expanded 150 basis points over the previous year period to 26.23 percent. Total expenses were 90.21 percent of quarterly revenues, down from 94.41 percent for the same period last year. This has led to an improvement of 420 basis points in operating margin to 9.79 percent.

Operating income for the quarter was $22.16 million, compared with $11.87 million in the previous year period.

However, the adjusted operating income for the quarter stood at $28.86 million compared to $24.03 million in the prior year period. At the same time, adjusted operating margin improved 143 basis points in the quarter to 12.75 percent from 11.32 percent in the last year period.
